I found a jumper in the charity shop that looked a bit sorry for its self, but it was made of this really soft cashmere material - I couldn't resist it - It wasn't something that fitted me and not something that I would usually where, so I just had to make it into a cushion! This is a great way to keep those lovely jumpers that no longer fit or you have for sentimental reasons :-)
What you will need:
- Old jumper with nice fabric
- Polyester filling
- Pins
- Needle
- Thread
- Sewing machine
Method
- I turned the jumper inside out
- I drew a square onto the back of it using a template.
- Then I pinned the 2 halves of the jumper together and cut the square out.
- Then I tacked the square with needle and thread
- I took the pins out and sewed around the edge leaving about a 5cm gap on one of the edges
- I then turned the cushion the right way around
- Filled it with Polyester filling I had going spare then hand sewed up the gap I had left.
