Free Knitting Patterns from 1940s

This week I thought you all may be interested in some free knitting patterns from the 1940s!!

 V and A 1940s knitting patterns

The Victoria and Albert Museum are providing downloadable patterns for you to try from the 1940s.  You can find them here:

http://www.vam.ac.uk/content/articles/0-9/1940s-knitting-patterns/

Just the interest in the history and style of the clothing alone was enough for me to take a peek at these patterns ... and I have to say that I am tempted to try a few!!

The thought of being able to knit my own fishnet stockings....

Have fun with these - I would love to know if any of you do actually knit these patterns :-)
